To use the paper size specified in the document’s ‘Page Setup’, click this button.

To set the fixed paper size, click these arrows. The arrows on the left set the number of inches, and the arrows on the right set the fractions.
To store the printer control data file on disk for later printing (or for debugging), click this button. Background printing should be disabled if you want to use this option.

If ImageWriter LQ is selected in the Chooser:
Click this button to force Witch to print the correct size, which may cause a slight loss in print quality.

After clicking ‘Test printer’ measure the distance in points from the test line to the top of the sheet of paper and set this control so that Witch can print correctly. (A point is 1/72 of an inch. The test line is graduated in 2 point intervals.)
This button is dimmed because you cannot test the printer — the Witch software was not installed at startup time. Make sure Witch is in the Control Panels folder and then restart the Mac to install the Witch software.
To test the printer setup, load the printer with paper, turn in on, connect it to the Mac with the appropriate lead, make sure all the Witch settings are correct, and click this button. A graduated line should be printed across the top of the page.
This option is dimmed because it does not apply to the Jonathon Freeman Technologies Paralink‚Ñ¢ 57600 baud serial interface.
To select the length of pause between data bytes which your printer serial interface needs, click on this menu. Most modern interfaces need only one stop bit.
To select the parity type which your printer serial interface uses, click on this menu. Most modern interfaces are factory configured for ‘No Parity’.
To select the ‘character’ size which your printer serial interface uses, click on this menu. You MUST select ‘8 data bits’ for all modern printers — the other sizes are only given for use with very old text-only printers.
To select the baud rate which your printer serial interface is set to, click on this menu. For best results set your printer interface to the fastest rate it supports, usually 19200 baud.
To enable print data compression, check this box.
